qBittorrent Portable is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Platform including the Menu and Backup Utility.

As per the title, it seems that I can't open a magnet link if the program is already running.
Step to reproduce:
1) from your browser open a magnet link in qBittorrent portable.
2) qBittorrent opens and adds the link.
3) from your browser try to open another magnet link, while qBittorrent portable is already running.
Result: Firefox can't resolve the address, claiming the magnet protocol isn't installed or has some problems. I also tried with Chrome and it says nothing, but still doesn't open the second magnet if qBittorrent is already running.

It's a qBittorrent issue where it uses TEMP to determine if it's already running instead of something standard like a MUTEX. Your portable browser has its own TEMP to contain files downloaded a viewed. And then qBittorrent messes up and uses system TEMP when handing off a file from one process to another. It's the only app I've ever seen with this completely oddball setup. I have a fix within the current qBittorrent Portable launcher that will work with a new variable in the next platform release that will effectively work around this, though.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Thanks John.
I don't know if this makes a difference, but I'm not using a portable browser. I'm using a standard firefox installation.
I'm not sure I understand about your fix: do you mean it will come with a future release of qBittorrent and can't be backported to the current launcher.ini?
Thanks.

It's intended for use with the PA.c Platform. I'm not sure why it would have issues from your local browser. Please post a complete breakdown (OS version, 32/64-bit, install path, browser you're using, whether associated with qBittorrentPortable.exe or qbitorrent.exe, etc) in the Other Apps support forum with this question. I may need to take a deeper look into your issue and see if I can reproduce it.
