µTorrent Portable 3.4.5.41073 has been released by PortableApps.com. µTorrent is the world's most popular BitTorrent client. Most of the features present in other BitTorrent clients are present in µTorrent, including bandwidth prioritization, scheduling, RSS auto-downloading and Mainline DHT (compatible with BitComet). It's packaged as a portable app so you download on the go and it's in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. It's released as freeware for personal and business use.

Update automatically or install from the portable app store in the PortableApps.com Platform.

Features

ScreenshotµTorrent is the world's most popular BitTorrent client. Most of the features present in other BitTorrent clients are present in µTorrent, including bandwidth prioritization, scheduling, RSS auto-downloading and Mainline DHT (compatible with BitComet). Additionally, µTorrent supports the Protocol Encryption joint specification (compatible with Azureus 2.4.0.0 and above, BitComet 0.63 and above) and peer exchange.

µTorrent was written with efficiency in mind. Unlike many torrent clients, it does not hog valuable system resources - typically using less than 6MB of memory, allowing you to use the computer as if it weren't there at all.

Various icon, toolbar graphic and status icon replacements are available, and creating your own is very simple. µTorrent also has support for localization, and with a language file present, will automatically switch to your system language. If your language isn't available, you can easily add your own, or edit other existing translations to improve them!

Hello,
I installed this version and it created a regular installation in Windows 10 OS.
It can be easily seen in:

Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features

It is not a Portable Version.

Could you fix that?

Thank You.

If the installer didn't run, it wasn't installed. uTorrent just likes to insert an entry in the Uninstall Programs registry key for some reason. The launcher should handle it but it may have changed how it handles Windows 10 in a recent release. I'll take a look sometime today.

That would be great.
Because I couldn't remove the entry myself.
Is there a way to remove it?

What's the latest version they didn't have Ads in the program?

Thank You.

It's likely in the registry at either:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

You can't uninstall it using Control Panel because it's not really installed.

If you'd like it without ads, I'd suggest taking a look at qBittorrent or Transmission, both of which are open source, ad-free, and pretty solid.

It Worked!

I downloaded them both but I don't want to move all the DB right now.
Do you remember the last version with no ads?

Thank You.

I don't know offhand. Other websites would probably know better. I think it's a quite old version with some security vulnerabilities, though.

I did some testing and the launcher is properly handling these keys. uTorrent always adds itself to the uninstall menu under either HKLM or HKCU when you run it. The launcher handles this by then removing these keys on exit. If, however, you shut down the computer without closing uTorrent, then the uTorrentPortable.exe launcher never has a chance to clean them up. If you exit before shutting down, you should not see the keys remain.
