Firefox Portable

I use 9.0.1 successfully
But when I go to install 10.0.1
- and I have downloaded it three times
to be sure there was no download error.
- it always says it has to close
as soon as I try to open it.

I have done this when not running Firefox and when running it.

Don't know what to do.

I've enabled CACHE for Firefox 10 portable, I have changed:
"browser.cache.disk.parent_directory = C:\Windows\Temp"
It works all find and dandy, pages load much faster then over riding cache to 0.

However this is the issue. It keeps resetting the pathing from C to U (my thumb drive). I will not keep MY pathing I enter. Here is my setup. I run Ff10p from my C drive while at home. I sync it to my U thumb drive when I go to work. I run it from my U (thumb drive) while at work, and that is where it changed my entered path to U instead of keeping it C.

Is it possible to change the settings on chrome? because evertime I use google chrome it reset to hes standard settings. I like to change the settings to my favorite settings and keep them like that (changing files).

Can someone help me how to?

In the support you say "Note that only one profile can be used at a time, even with MultipleInstances turned on in the advanced launcher INI. This is a limitation of Firefox itself."

But i can tell you that multy profiles can be used simultaneously when firefox.exe is started with -no-remote parameter. So you need to fix FirefoxPortable.exe and FirefoxPortable2ndProfile.exe to use "firefox.exe -no-remote".

Hello all, I am new to the concept of portable firefox and would like to know if the app can be packaged in a specific way with .ini modifications and such. I used to use mozilla prism which allowed bundling where I could do things like pre set disable status bar and then share this version.

My idea is to use portable for my group with pre enabled add-ons and some configurations. Is it possible? Perhaps a knowledgeable developer would like to assist for pay. Desperate for such a solution.

I just recently updated from version 9 to 10. Under both versions I was unable to get the Bookmark Manager Toolbar button to appear. When I click View>Toolbar>Customize the button appears on the toolbar, but as soon as I close the pop-up, the button disappears. I tried dragging the button off and back on again and the issue remained.

I'm also missing the orange configuration button on the top left.

Any ideas what is going on or how to fix this?

Hi, I'm presently using version 9.0.1 with windows 7 64 bit.
I was alerted that I need to update to version 10.0. I did. After updating when I try to start FFP I get this (screenshot below) and I can't seem to get past it. I reinstalled 9.0.1 from my saved copy and everything is fine again, yet it's telling me for security reasons I need to update to version 10.0. Any idea on what went wrong when I installed the new version and how I can fix it so as it will work properly?

cache settings revert to default upon restart-how do I prevent this and there is only a setting in options for offline storage.I tried about:config and increased it and it is fine till restart

In order to use TiddlyWiki and work around security issues, I need to use pre-4 Firefox, so I'm trying to install it on my USB drive from PortableApps.com. However, there are some things that are not working for me and I could use a few more pointers.

1. I installed FirefoxPortableLegacy36_3.6.25_English.paf.exe into my F:\FirefoxPortable directory as FirefoxPortable.exe. I copied the FirefoxPortable.ini file to the same location and modified it to allow MultipleInstances of Firefox (I usually run 9.0.1 for general stuff). This seems to work, but I'm wondering if I've fully set it up.
