hello,

don´t quite get what you mean, but looking into the support pages could help, else you should be more precise when posting https://portableapps.com/support/portable_apps_suite#addingapps

Move Them

You can move them to get them to appear in the menu. So, if you have a portable piece of software from somewhere else at X:\neatapp\neatapp.exe, just move the whole neatapp folder from X:\ to X:\PortableApps. You'd then have X:\PortableApps\neatapp\neatapp.exe and then menu will find it automatically when you start it or do Options - Refresh App Icons.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

not yet

Hiding exes isnt supported yet by the menu. A future version will support it though.

:

Put all the files in a folder, write a batch file that runs only the desired .exe, and convert the .bat to a .exe.

ok

First: PortableApps from this site have an installer that puts them into the right directory ->
X:/PortableApps/yourAppFolder(egFirefoxPortable)/yourApp.exe(eg FirefoxPortable.exe)
After install you have to go to the Options button, select "refresh icons" -> after some time you see the new .exe on the app list
second: Put your "own" portable app into the same directory as above, follow the steps above and you´re done
-> but, be sure that the "alien" software is really portable -> else it leaves stuff on the local HDD. Not every app declared portable is fully portable at all (from PortableApps here they´are for sure, because they are started by a launcher that at least removes all stuff after use, keeps your profile directory on the drive and adapts the drive letter and paths when changing the PC)
third: PAM only recognises .exe for now, no jar, no bat.etc; on the other way uninstall.exe aren´t needed, you can delete them in the folders and they are hidden from the Menu.
Four: you shouldn´t install any .exe to your flash drive on the classic way like on your local hard drive -> it´s no way of portablizing;
the PortableApps is not a classic MSi installer that writes to the registry but a help for putting the app in the right place and upgrading an pp already there.
Ok, that is fairly too much, come back and ask for more -> perhaps after reading the support files Wink

Try a Mod

The feature you need will eventually be added to the official PortableApps.com Menu, which is open source.

There is an unofficial fork of that open source code called R34 Mod Menu (yep, it is the 34th upgrade of the basic code).

Since it is an unofficial fork of the official Menu, it is not officially supported by PortableApps.com.

You can find tutorials about features, installation, use, and tweaking of the R34 Mod Menu at:
