Developer Wanted!

We're actively seeking a Python developer to enhance Cornice. We'd especially like to fix an EXIF data-handling bug and add multilingual support. If you're interested, please contact us and let us know.

PortableApps.com Installer / PortableApps.com Format

Cornice Portable is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Suite including the Menu and Backup Utility.

Thank you John. I'll try it right away.

if you release a new App, could you also create the german page, fill it with the content of the english page and make me the author?
Ißll then translate it.
This way I dont have to ask Marko to do it every once in a while...

I don't know if PortableApps.com customizes their apps or if they just make current apps portable. So this possibly is the wrong place to post this.

I would suggest the following:

*Add a screensaver mode to the program so that when it is minimized and hidden as a tray icon, after a certain amount of time a "slideshow" will automatically appear and play.
*Add a password field to the screensaver so that only those with the password can turn off the programs screensaver.

we only package the Apps (mostly) without touching them.

So the right place would be the Cornice homepage where you'll find the developper's email address.

(English)
Perfect, Cornice is an excellent display of images.
Some time ago I made the translation into Spanish.
I leave here the link to the archives of language I did, and that it sends to the author at the time.
I hope to be able to incorporate CornicePortable.

(Español)
Perfecto, Cornice es un exelente visor de imagenes.
Hace un tiempo atras hice la traduccion al español.
Dejo aca el link a los archivos de idioma que hice, y que envie en su momento al autor.
Espero pueda incorporase a CornicePortable.

In testing, Cornice does not use the language files anyway due to a bug in the code where it never updates what language the OS environment is, so it's a bit moot at the moment.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

on my german OS it switch to the lang folder de and
on my polish OS it switch to the lang folder pl (automatically)

what does not working exactly? In this release you
have to compile the german PO file to a MO file
Than you have Cornice in german on a german OS

OK, just include the new languages into the PortableApps version
and Cornice is correctly multilingual than!
Thanks

Installed Cornice and it ran fine on XP computer at office. Nice app. Tried on Vista home computer and strangely it opens a Windows Live ID login box. What the...? Where is that coming from? Had to close the service through task manager. Reinstalled, disabled virus scanner and so forth with no success.

Also the help.html file currently packaged with Cornice has links to KeePass.

Any ideas on Vista failure?
