I have used a 60gb USB2.0 hdd the last months, but since its to big to carry around so im going to buy a usb-stick, Before i used the HDD i used my Sandisk cruzer micro 256mb which was REALLY slow, it took like 20seconds to launch firefox and gaim would lag...
So what im looking for is a small and really fast usb-stick, price and size arent that important (1-2gb is enough) any suggestions are welcome

1-2 GB is enough?! I love how you phrased that one; you implied that 1-2 GB is small. Those are the largest sizes of USB key you can currently find in the mainstream.

Actually, I found a 32mb a month a go. I'll see if I can get a picture of that. I can hardly believe such a size still exists...

Have you considered a small hard drive, lots appearing on the market. I have a LaCie 8GB and am very happy with it. I have Ceedo on it but also lots of other stand alone apps.

My Western Digital Passport is a little bulky, but it fits in my pocket, and doesn't require power. WD also has a Passport Pocket thats even smaller and in the 4-8GB range.
I have the $120 (at the time) 80GB WD Passport, and it's smaller than a paperback book, it's fast, and still works after my bookbag has been thrown around a billion times, lol. Lexar also has some Micro HDD's but I hear they're notoriously slow.

Ive actually used a lacie carte 6gb for a while sure it worked great, but i want something smaller without a cable. And yea 1-2 maybe are close to the largest you can find today but they are really cheap, i remember 5years ago when i bought 32mb for 50dollars
Well what i care about is the speed and size, so links to reviews tips etc anything would be great.

It is U3, but I would use the U3 Uninstaller first thing on it.

And Nerd... I still think 13 MB is an odd size (also, the sarcasm was uncalled for). You sure you didn't just misread a 16 MB one (like maybe there was a remnant of a sticker covering part of the 6 so it looked like a 3)? I'd be very shocked if I saw a USB key whose size wasn't a multiple of 8 MB.

2 possible options:
The 1G units are very common but I would recommend a minimum 2G, I have a 2G from sandisk that I use now and it is about right, at least for today as it is 75% full.
The 4 gig unit would be [perfect as you could then back it up on 1 DVD-RW]
They are now available up to 16 Gig from at least 3 manufacturers: Buslink, Kangaru & one other whose name escapes me.
I also saw a 'coming soon' ad for a 64Gigabyte unit due out by the end of the year.
The second option is a smaller USB HDD like the Firefly 20G from www.Smartdisk.com, it is 2.5" (width) x .5" (height) x 4" (depth). There are units even smaller than that now, just make sure it runs off USB or Firewire power alone.

I have used them and can confirm that they are damned fast, but damed expensive to buy direct from Crucial; I recommend looking around a bit for a cheaper supplier.
