TypeFaster TypingTutor is an open source typing program that teaches you to touch type (though not as open source as they say, the original installer packs the Visual C++ runtimes :(). It's natively portable, but there were some issues with the current dir (CafeMOD:() and settings. Turns out that I forgot to add SetOutPath
before the ExecWait :P. I removed the C++ runtimes, though thinking about making the installer put them in in case if a PC doesn't include them in traveling. Download.

TypeFaster Typing Tutor Portable DevTest 1(Testers should be needed).
I just said in the other thread that this was the one I was working on next. Why would you do that, you clearly saw I said I was working on it?
I was just trying to find a better solution for the way I was doing it.
Alright, go ahead an release it. Better it gets out now than waiting for me to finish it, I should continue working on Deluge anyway.
I forgot :(.

Dev Test page perhaps?
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
i agree with john this should be in the Dev Test Page. It Makes Your Page look Cleaner justClick Here
So who's actually doing this one? I wanna get some stuff up on the development test page, and i'd like it to be accurate.

I suppose Patrick had the idea first, but I released it first.

The app comes with C++ runtimes and you removed these so people need to copy them into the app again?
I noticed quite some apps that have the redistributable runtimes included (Sometimes as an installer) but it installs something into the pc's system folder.
Is it true you are not allowed to have the required dll's shipped with the application? (If so this would be a reason not to use Visual C++ for developing apps without dependancies)
Maybe it would be worth trying to compile the app with another compiler that doesnt rely on dependancies to make a truely portable app.
I'm sure needing to install some dll on host PC's to get an app to work is almost as bad as requiring .NET.
If its not allowed to distribute the DLL's which are needed to run, let the redistributable runtime installer install through the portable installer the DLL's into the portable location. I don't think it's wise to rely on having to install a DLL onto host machines.
some .dll files (these runtimes) have exceptions that allow them to be included in an open source app release...i'm not sure why he's removing all of them.

Just adding support for this to progress to Pre-Release as it works good for me : )
Guessing the launcher might need to be updated to the latest spec but seems good to me.
Thanks Dij

EDIT: Woah!! I just used to translate this back from German to English using googleand it seems to have lost all context. What I meant to say is
But being an oafish Aussie I probably don't have the capacity. Also FYI, JWS II is Jeffrey William Smith II (me);-)

This is a good lightweight typing tutor licensed under the GPL2. Anyone up for it?
