Hello all,
First time poster and PortableApps rocks!!!
I noticed that a new portable app was made available today called WinWGet. I have never seen or heard of this program before. I understand that this program is a download manager. Currently I use the Firefox extension called DownThemAll. My question is, which download manager is better? Would WinWGet be worth making the switch to or am I better off sticking with DownThemAll?
Thanks in advance for your input.
Like many types of apps, which download manager you like is a matter of personal preference. WinWGet is simple and independent so you don't have to have Firefox running. It's also small. And, since it's a portable app, you can try it out and, if you don't like it, just delete it. No muss, no fuss.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Thanks for the input. I think I'll give it a try.
BTW, keep up the good work.
Don't be a pin-head!
I have noticed one thing and that is,more the number of addons more slower is firefox.
It depends on what type of add-on it is.
Like for example, I installed something call Mynci Web Recorder (forget exact name) a long time ago and it slowed down firefox soooooooooooooooo much. The reason was because it saved all the images of every website I visted onto my drive.
Where as something like adblock plus speeds up browsers since it prevents ads from playing/displaying.
I know when I have more addons seems like its slower
