Opening links in Portable Firefox

Is there a method of forcing Portable Thunderbird to open HTML links in Portable Firefox instead of the default Windows browser.

I'm running both Thunderbird & Firefox on a USB drive, on a PC at work, and don't want to use the installed IE as my browser. DUe to user restrictions I can't (and don't want to) chanmge the default browser.

Copy and Paste.

Setting the default browser adjusts registry settings which you don't want in a portable app.

If you can't set the default browser then looks like you are back to copy and pasting your links.

Found an extension called

Found an extension called 'launchy' which gives the ability to open links in an email with Firefox from a right click - drop down menu, which is a workaround.

I was wondering if there was a user setting which could be added to the prefs.js file which would do it automatically.

...

I think he meant if he could add such a setting to the preferences, Ryan, not for it to become part of a standard distribution (which we already know is impossible).

Ah

Actually, there is a preference, but it doesn't seem to do anything.
