Since this was pointed out on IRC... the money from the ads goes to hosting. Hosting is about $13,000 a year and climbing.

that's a lot of money but its usefull to spend on the website and developing ! cauz portable apps got miljons users and if they dont have portable apps anymore that would be a sad case
True. And it would be great if everyone uses This instead of using Google. It most likely helps Portableapps. Same with ads and all.
Well maybe there are ways to raise additional funds not by just using donations and Google ads.
