Well hello everyone... or rather goodbye everyone!
My situation is as follows: our family is going overseas for three months on mission work. We leave on the 17th of November (next Monday, early) for Sri Lanka, where we are due to stay for one month. Then India, in Hyderabad for 2 weeks, then Kolkata (formerly Calcutta :P) for a month and a half. We get back on the 17th of February 2009.
The problem: I have an official app released, another soon to be, and some other apps in Beta Testing. Some of them may need support while I'm away. In Sri Lanka, I don't know whether I'll have an internet connection, or in Hyderabad. In Kolkata I believe that I will, but I'm not sure, and even if I am I'd probably be limited to the occasional check, because I'd be using Dad's laptop or an internet cafe.
BPBible (official) – taken by Ben Morgan (my brother, the main BPBible developer) for the first month, but someone to take over support would be nice. Other than 0.4 which Ben and I should handle, there will be no releases which need handling, as Ben will be leaving a month or so later, and so BPBible development will stop for a bit.Kevin Porter is taking over support for the rest of the time.- Inkscape (due to go official soon) – support contract sold to Taffin Foxcroft
- Poedit – Hmm... I don't think that this'll need anything. However, anyone wanting to take over supporting it is welcome.
- gVim – I've got a new release-ish, I may get to post that before I go. I don't think it needs taking over, but anyone wanting to take over supporting it is welcome.
- Numpty Physics – shouldn't need any work, I'll let it lie. In the unlikely event of a new Numpty Physics release, ... what am I saying!?
- subcommander – I reckon that this should be OK just to leave while I'm away.
So, if you're interested in taking over maintenance of one of my projects, please volunteer. (Please note though that I would like to take them back when I get back.)
So, as of Sunday evening, goodbye for a while!
And to make something clear: all these plans will happen if God is willing.
You'll have a good trip and come back safe!

So are you no longer willing to take on Poedit Portable, or what?

I realized I cant do it.

I just want to say good luck to you and your family. As a Christian, I wish that you will lead many people to follow Christ.
On the topic of the apps, I'd be willing to do something with BPBible if something pops up. (I come from the past, so we might have already discussed this in IRC. )

I can't wish you luck in converting anyone (would be hypocritical of me), but I can hope for your (and family) safe trip and return.
