problem with #-characters in filename?

Hi,
I wanted to make an incremental (encrypted) backup of a selected subdirectory (preview seemed to be ok),
but TOUCAN 2.0.1 started compressing many other files of the surrounding directories too.
The reason may be:
The surrounding path containes some #-characters and TOUCAN uses it somewere to separate files in an internal filelist.
After renaming the source-path it went well.

Trying to restore TOUCAN announces processing of archive, but the marked password is not asked and nothing happens.
Checking the archive with 7zip I found password and content ok.
Have I done something wrong?
Thanks

Hmm,

yes, thinking about this it could be a problem, I shall have this fixed in the next version. I shall also sort out the restore dialog.

Thanks for your report Smile

Yes, I have path names with $ and # and problems

I found the same problem, I have directories with # and $ characters, and preview works, but not the actual operation. I also hope this will be fixed in the next release so I am able to use Toucan. Thanks

Hmm

can you confirm this was not fixed in the latest version (released last week) as I thought I had fixed it. Thanks in advance.

Still a problem with $ & # in pathname

Steve, sorry to be so tardy in responding. Yes, I still have the problem with $ in a pathname. I am running Toucan release 2.0.2

Example:

----------------------------

Actual Source
C:\Documents and Settings\Tom\My Documents\$jscript

Source (what Toucan seems to think)
C:\Documents and Settings\Tom\My Documents$jscript

-------------------------------

Actual Destination
F:\$jscript

Source (what Toucan seems to think)
F:$jscript

---------------

Thanks in advance for your support.

Tom
