I would like to ask, whether it is possible to test, learn your opinion on my program. I only recently released the version for USB Flash Drive, and I wish to learn your suggestions.
Do not consider it for advertising, but this site specialises on portable programs and I hope to you it will be interesting.
I will give to all active participants the free licence.
Thanks!

As I understand it, this would be self-promoting under the forum guidelines. While the offer to give free licenses is generous, you probably should review the guidelines again.
I these guidelines also did not see. Unfortunately my English is very bad. And I know only two forums for portable programs - this forum and other.
You can remove a topic.
Not a problem. I can't change your topic but other administrators can. It's a great concept, especially for people who like keeping these links separate from browsers. I am not one of the license experts on the site, but perhaps if a open-source version can be made, it would be welcomed here.
If you are still serious about people testing it out on the side, send me an email at: rozspam + msn - com. I'll check it out and let you know.
It's a really great concept - very useful. There are some issues though. The main one is that it doesn't seem to store the location of the Firefox Portable in the options when I put it in.
However, I think you are onto something big here. Good luck on it!
If the offer still stands, I would be happy to test and provide feedback. It look like a great program.
If this is still open, my email is PRKarl@gmail.com

I will look at this.

If you are still giving us a free license, could you send one to me at tfktrash (at) gmail (dot) com?
Thanks and I'll let you know what I see.
It looks great...

If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
and the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
and the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,

is that we should be given the option to tell it where our browser lives that we want to open links with. It gives us the option to use IE or Firefox. I don't want to use any installed browser to open my links (I only have IE on my computer at work, and HATE using it). I'd much rather use my PortableFirefox install to browse.
Is that possible to add in?
And maybe an option to set a proxy? (I'm behind a very restrictive proxy at work).
Other than that, it looks like you've done a really good job with it!!
In the new version all I will make.
Hello.
After I downloaded this package, my Virus-Scanner sent me a Message, that it seems to be a Trojan Horse.
Received Message:
LCPortable.zip
[0] Archivtyp: ZIP
--> LinkCollector Portable.exe
[FUND] Ist das Trojanische Pferd TR/Banker.Banker.ygd
No, I don't think it's harmful...
I only want you to know...
Ciao
BlackDragon
PS: Sorry for my english...
//EDIT:
Sorry, but I've forgotten to tell you what Virus-Scanner I have: AVIRA AntiVir 8.1
Thanks, but a virus there are not present. It is a warning for UPX packer. Probably it is necessary to refuse it.
It is probably a false positive. The methods that most portableaps use to portabilize the apps are sometimes used in viruses so sometimes you get false positives. All the apps that are officially released by PortableApps.com are confirmed by many people to be virus free. I am sure that LinkCollector has no viruses either it is just the methods used to portabilize it.
Thanks,
Bensawsome
PS hey man your app works great I haven't seen anything wrong with it or anything it leaves behind on the host computer

Hi, I'm still looking for the perfect links program so have tried yours quickly!
I would like to make a couple of comments if that's OK.
I have some sort of program already that automatically every day makes a html bookmarks file and copies it to my website, this way I have my favourites from anyway even if I don't have my USB drive with me. Also the ability to export to the bookmarks on my portable firefox would be nice too.
All together a very promising program - well done.
Ian
Been trying it out for a week or so and I am very impressed.
Seems to leave the system nice and clean with no traces of the application.
Functionality is good.
I haven't found any real bugs nor have I been able to break it.
Feature Request:
I like the fact that I can launch bookmarks from within LinkCollector without having to import them to a specific browser. I think it would be cool to have multiple Bookmark collections. A set of bookmarks under a specific name that can each be loaded into Link Collector separately.
Thanks for your ideas.
Hay thar! Could I possibly get the license so I can get a good look at this? It looks like a sweet program.
watson387 @ gmail.com
OK.
Thank you!

This is a program I have a few ideas for. I would like to give it a try. If possible, please send me the key: fadigah@gmail.com. Thank you.
please can I have a key.
Soave my recaptchaed email here
And I might put your "Userbar" banner on my links page when I get around to redesigning that page.
Edit: Thanks very muchly
I have a suggestion. I've been using this for about a week now and I really like it. I don't know if it's possible, but it would be really nice if you could assign the links to open in a browser (not just MIE, Opera or Firefox; I've been using Iron Portable; once you get used to it it's a great browser) installed on the portable drive instead of the main C: drive of the host. If it's doable it would be a great improvement IMO. Keep up the great work.
In the future version...
In the current time, we work over other product.
Thanks.
Version 1.1 didn't appear to support firefox 3.0.4 any update for this?
Is a pretty good piece of Software.
As stated before by many others... it doesn't have an option to import from my portable browser...
Something I don't know if it does it, but I'll like to see it... if I first import my links from Firefox, and then (a couple of weeks later) I add new links and import them again... I would like that the program import just the new aditions, not the entire links again...
Also, when removing duplicated links (BTW, it removed them all, not only those I specifically marked for removal), It's very nice if it can delete them also in the browser that originally had those links... also when removing a death link...
Is it all of it possible?

Nice but a long way to go.
What I like:
Improvements:
"Ability to load bookmarks from portable browsers"
You can do this. Click Options. Under Bookmarks Resources choose which browser you want to get the favorites of and change the path to your portable browser's bookmark file.
BOOM import your bookmarks from your portable drive.
I Know that I was Just to tired to say that. Oh well:)
However where is "bookmarks.htm" file and which one, in firefox portable?
Could a moderator lock this topic? I mean, he's giving out free-keys and such but I don't think product discussion should be held here. Email is a acceptable format. AnalogXP could install something like phpBB (blech :=) for a forum system.
