the gpg.exe is just the same as any other so just follow the normal commands in the manual and you can make all standard functions from cmd.

in fact I also pointed the winpt portable front end to the gpg folder and it uses it with all functions for files etc.

ah thanks for this information, its much more confortable to use winpt with gui than to use gpg.exe and the cmd
(when i encrypt a larger file the program seem to crash, but after 2 minutes its finish with 600 mb file. the *.gpg file becomes smaller... 550mb)
so i think its faster to compress crypted with 7zip in mode storage.
A single death is a tragedy; a million deaths is a statistic.
since the encryption should copress any files at the same time as encrypted in pgp and gpg. However, what exact algo for compressing is used I dont know at the moment.
Double compression can make file smaller but also bigger, depends widely what the files was made of initially.
But one thing I would recomend. Use the last version of winpt. There is somelauncher around which came with the previous version. This older version of winpt did some commends to the gpgp wrong and also did interpret the output sometimes in a strange way.
I just copied the relevant files from the latest version into the paf'ed installation and now all seems to work well, so far did not discover any problems.
Otherwise fun is also portable pgp: http://ppgp.sourceforge.net/
it is java based and uses now the java installation we have on our sticks for open office.
It has still some minor bugs on compatibility with older pgp versions, but works fine for general use. Try it and tell me if you find some more bugs so the authors can correct it.
