'Check for new messages every X minutes' not persistent

Setting the 'Check for new messages every X minutes' on in the Server Settings stays set while TBP is running. But, when TBP is closed and relaunched this setting is turned off.

I have two copies of TBP, my wife's copy behaves the same way.
I really need this feature, can please someone help?
Thanks

Found the problem. I

Found the problem.
I installed the extension Tb_Progress_History_Extension_0.1.6.xpi and this causes the problem. I uninstalled it and started working.

For your info: Found info

For your info:
Found info about this extension in some forums. From what I read, the extension turns off the checkboxes for 'Check for new messages every X minutes' so that TB does not process the checks and the extension does the processing itself to get the information required.
This would be o/k, if it then worked properly. But it doesn't. If there is more than one account to check the interval needs to staggered. That is the check intervals cannot be set to the same period because some of those checks will be missed. If they are staggered, one needs to make sure that:
1) If changes are made to the accounts settings, the check for new messages needs to be ticked again.
2) After any changes, including the first one, shut down TBP and launch it again a couple of times.

If this is not done an error occurs when it is time to do a check. The error is :
"This folder is being processed. Please wait until processing is complete to get messages", even though there is no activity.

There is definitely something wrong with this extension, but this is slight work around, I think.
If anyone has any more info it would be great to see it.
Thanks

Expected

That is to be expected with an extension with a version number of 0.1.6 which would essentially indicate alpha/pre-alpha quality. Especially since it is not on the mozilla add-ons site and has been updated in over 2 years.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

John, I am surprised that

John, I am surprised that there has not been more activity lately regarding this extension. As far as I can see there is no other extension that does a similar job. Especially since I would think that a large percentage of TB users are ex Outlook Express users. Outlook Express had a similar feature ever since I can remember (over 10 years now).
I didn't notice that this version of the extension is over 2 years old.

Edit: By the way, I tried to find the author of this extension to email him about the problem. Unfortunately, I can't find his email, website or any way to contact him. John, do you, by any chance know how to contact the author?
