Google Chrome Browser

I was wondering if you have considered the Google Chrome Browser for PA. Sorry if this has been requested before I couldn't find any requests.

Due to the licensing issues

Due to the licensing issues that Google Placed on Google Chrome, We wouldn't be able to make it portable. However we can use the Original Program that Google Chrome is based off of Called Chromium

Thats Strange

really strange as they say that Google Chrome is googles opensorce browser. so you should have no trouble in using the OPENSORCE program Google Chrome in pA. if you do then it is not opensorce and google is lying in claming that it is.

It is open source.

It is open source, but Google holds a trademark on "Google Chrome", whereas "Chromium" is not trademarked (and is intended that way).

ok

So Google Chrome is opensorce which means that all opensorce rules apply like anyone could modify it and adapt the origional program any way they want to. then Y can't someone modify googee chrome and adapt it for PA. chromium is just not as good its old and out of date now is the project discontinued ???

Confused?

I believe you're confused:
Chromium *is* Google Chrome, without the branding.

Where?

Where did you get this version from, as I very much doubt it's legality?

Hey there, could I get you to remove the link from your signature as it's only permitted in the 'Homepage' field on your account page. Thanks!

Negotiate an agreement?

Would it be possible for PortableApps.com to negotiate an agreement with Google to port Chrome with trademarks etc as was done with Firefox, Thunderbird and OpenOffice? This of course wouldn't happen until Chrome got to a 1.0 version.

Considering it.

I'm considering making contact with Google to discuss just that if John isn't already doing so.

Any updates?

I know we can find a portable version of Chrome on link removed but I'd be interested in a portableapps.com version of Chromium.
Will we ever able to see it?
