On Portable Firefox Live page, it says a brand new version is coming soon. May I ask if the new version will support running firefox directory from the readonly media, or still copy it to a temp directory and run from there?
Thank you.

Unless Mozilla changes how Firefox works, it's never going to be able to run directly from read-only media. There's nothing John can do to change it without modifying the FF source and recompiling it--and if he did that, he'd have to call it something other than "Firefox" in order to comply with Mozilla's stupid trademark policies.

John's post here. PFF live CD support now(or as soon as John's power issue subsides long enough for him to post it!).

Yeah, I get the feeling the thread poster knew about this; he's asking if the new version will let him run Firefox directly from read-only media (e.g. a CD) without the launcher having to make a local copy, which it most certainly will not. The way Firefox is coded makes that impossible.
Edit: Bah. Stupid Drupal. Why do they have to be different and use HTML, instead of using BBcode like everyone else?

Maybe, but I just have something against angle brackets. Square brackets don't stick out as much.

How could you not love the encapsulating warmth of the angled brackets?
I love you < >
