how to delete registry key of firefox portable 3.x within WIN XP without Administration account

Alright, that's the issue: I can run firefox portable on the company computer, but of course it leaves the registry keys after being used.
Since firefox can 'write' them there without the administration account, how can I delete them from there again? I am thinking of a batch file maybe. But unfortuantely I cannot test stuff, but I don't want my admins to unveal my "dirty little secret", since then they'll find a way to block that as well, I'm sure!

Any quick help is absolutlely highly appreciated!

Thanks in advance...

"Since firefox can 'write' them there without the administration account"
FF can't, it's the OS and there isn't much you can do about it that wouldn't
jeopardize your continued employment even more..

go into run and type in

go into run and type in regedit then Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TrayNotify
Delete the IconStreams and PastIconsStream values.
Open Task Manager, click Processes tab, click Explorer.exe, then click End Process.
Still in Task Manager, click File, click New Task, type explorer, then click OK.

voila ur done

hope it works- jj

Everything

Everything leaves traces on the PC and the network. Anyone claiming a piece of portable software doesn't is either lying, confused or trying to sell you something (or a combination).

IMO it's important people understand that it is NOT really the portable.apps
that make those registry-entries, it's the OS and it does it for all applications .
It's just how Redmont designed the OS and you are not "supposed" to be able to do anything about it from a limited user-account.

What portable.apps do not leave behind when used correctly is
"personal" information .

some command line

progs, when really run from cmd, will not make traces even in the MRU lists.
I think the MRU is appanded only when you run something from the explorer GUI or so.

Soem DOS stuff run from and within the cmd does not write anything into registry, or at least after many tries I could never find anything.
