Is there any free service that scans through url? It is very hassle to download the file then again upload it again to be scanned.

It only scans using:
F-PROT, Avira AntiVir, BitDefender, AVG, and ClamAV. Really not the best AV around.
Hey thats really neat, this is effective and useful as you dont run the risk of software you want to download being executed if its fake, so scanning through the URL is really helpful.

Maybe somebody with the scripting skills could somehow put together the best virus scanners, then make the script run on a server, and then make them scan through URL, im sure it can be done. If that makes sense what Im trying to say.

I think you need to have the AVs (and your going to pay it) or am i mistaken?
