I've just posted a pre-release of Notepad++ Portable 5.1.2. This new release combines Ansi and Unicode in a single package much like Miranda IM does. The Unicode version will be run on Windows NT/2000/XP/Vista/7 and the Ansi version is run on Windows 95/98/Me. This version preserves your current custom plugins in the Ansi release section (if any). It also preserves any custom Tidy configuration you have as the path to it has changed.
Please give it a test paying particular attention to the in-place upgrade process and Ansi vs Unicode to ensure all is well. I've tested it on Windows XP and 98 and it seems to be working as expected.

Updated to 5.1.3
why not 5.1.3?
It'll come as the final. Prob another pre-release. N++ hasn't been good about sending out the updates to subscribers watching them on SF.

I just updated it to 5.1.3 since I'd missed that it came out.

Tried a fresh install on Win XP, seems to work
Can't test Win 95/98/Me, found no computer with that OS.
... and the Readme.txt is still the same
...but did you get my e-mail John? I sent it to email removed 'cause the topic didn't seem applicable to any of the contact e-mails listed on THIS site.
Email address removed by moderator JTH. Posting anyone's email address "in the clear" in a forum or webpage is exceedingly bad form.

I think I lost it moving it around.

OK, Sorry about posting your e-mail like that. I didn't notice you used JavaScript to obfuscate it, and sometimes I forget not everyone has awesome spam filters like GMail. >_> I swear, I get like, a few spams a month.

Still nothing? I'm gonna try turning my images into links, maybe that will get it past your spam filter or whatever?
I might as well post a shortened and cryptic version right here, where I know you can see it
Basically I made this app, and it has theming support. So for testing and debugging I spliced together pieces from PortableApps Menu and this website to make a PortableApps.com theme. Since I don't have any other themes for it I was wondering if you would mind if I released the theme with my app, proper credit given to you of course.
The e-mail contains a more exact app description as well as pics for your enjoyment.

5.1.4 has been released.
I don't know, do we really need to support the 9x series anymore? Seems like a waste of resources at this point. Even Windows Me is over 8 years old (read: 3 years out of support)... I can't imagine there are many 9x/Me computers left in the wild, except for stubborn holdouts and nostalgic types.
What I'm trying to say is that 9x/Me support is essentially nonexistent in the mainstream at this point. I really think it's time to let go.
What about ReactOS? I forget if it actually true Windows 2000 support yet or what?
Assuming they are keeping up with their Wine integration they should have pretty good XP support by now, and the beginnings of Vista stuff.

actually they don't use wine they work with wine but as a seperate project
