ekiga

Hi,
maybe we already talked about this topic here but i wanted to ask for ekiga, a great voip with video-voip support. Of course Opensource software and standart in ubuntu with gnome, like the gimp.
I think under windows it saves the profile localy on hdd and makes reg entries.

It would be great to make it portable Biggrin
I would like to help but on my own computer i dont have a windows environment and at work i use linux. Maybe i will try a VM for start to help portable apps in 2k9.

here beta:

i can help on testing..

I would love ekiga to become a portable app.
since I can´t program under windows, I would like to offer my help if you guys need someone to test ekiga.
I already use ekiga under linux; but at work I have to use windows, and I can´t install new stuff into my PC. (fortunatelly there are portable apps now)
So, when I need to do some VC, I have to boot my pc to linux in order to use ekiga.

Well...if you need some help, please contact me.

Rafael, I'm sorry

Rafael, I'm sorry to say but at this point there does really not appear to be much interest. If I happen to run across powerjuce I will try to ask him about it. But you do need to stop bumping the topic please. Not every app that a user wants finds a dev willing or able to work on it. It's just the way things go sometimes Sad

There is some interest ^^

I'm interested in this too. Main reason being that their installer doesn't even give the choice of target directory... Plus it's making me sick to see there is a Portable Skype but not Ekiga.
