what he wants tell you is that this software is for unix, linux etc and not for windows. There is no windows version of it, thus it would have to be run by bending lot of things and rebuilding the whole for windows.

Two days ago I was looking for a PDF editor different than Foxit PDF editor (which I have portable from an I-can't-say source and I want it something more "legal"... trough Google I found some options and this looked the best... I download it yesterday, and now I tried to install it... I now understand what you all mean... but then I have another question...
Some apps here have a GTK or Java folder... is it possible to portabilize this thing together with the cygwin stuff and prepare a working-just-out-of-the-box paf installer???
As I said before, I have a good PDF editor that I can continue using... but I think that this App could be a plus in the suite...

This DOES work on Windows but it requires cygwin to be installed locally and QT to be installed (but I think it'll work within the app directory).
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Instead of waiting for a pretty hard port of a Linux program to Windows, why not just use an online PDF editor.

Also, OO3 now supports PDF importing. While not as good as a true PDF editor, that may also be a portable option.

Last I heard along these lines it was an OO3 extension that allowed you to import the PDF into Impress. A great start but wont be helpful to most until can be imported directly into Writer IMO.

This one, although called viewer can also modify PDF files. It is not full featured editor, but is great for slight modifications and for annotating existing PDF files. It has nice GUI, renders PDFs correctly, it is freeware and most of all, it has portable version. I just tried it - downloaded portable version, unpacked it in the PortableApps folder and updated menu icons and it works like a charm.

so it could be possible to create portable version now.
Its the only advanced pdf editor I have found other than Foxit (which is not paid). Please make a portable version. As indicated by @Heliooos, there is an official windows version available.
