Toucan 2.0.4 has been released. Toucan is a tool for advanced users that allows you to sync, backup and secure files on your portable device. This new release has several bug fixes, a new variable and adds Chinese and Italian locales. Features
Toucan is a small utility allowing you to synchronise, backup and secure your data with more options than the built in suite utilities. Its features include:
- Four synchronization modes, copy, update, mirror and equalize.
- Four backup modes, complete, update, incremental and restore, in industry standard zip and 7-zip files
- AES-256 encryption using ccrypt.
- Command line support, allows you to create a batch file for repeated jobs
New In This Release
Toucan 2.0.4 has fixed a number of bugs in previous versions. There has also been a massive refactoring of the code, which has fixed a number of memory leaks and improved performance. It also adds the @volume@ variable for getting the volume name of your drive. Finally there are more UI updates. Chinese and Italian localizations have also been added.
PortableApps.com Installer / PortableApps.com Format
Toucan is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Suite including the Menu and Backup Utility.

For some reason, the link on the Toucan page wouldn't work for me (Firefox's file download dialogue took almost 45 seconds to show up, and then the download never completed), but I was able to download it from Sourceforge with no problem using: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/portableapps/Toucan_2.0.4.paf.exe?use_m...

Improuvement
First of all, thanks for your work on Toucan, Steve.
But we are always waiting for the most useful improvement, in my opinion.
The possibility to see in the preview only the changing files.
It would facilitate us a lot the synchronizing operations.
