VLC with iPhone

Has anybody tried the VLC Remote iPhone app?
I enabled the web interface, opened up the firewall, and the app said it stillcouldn't find VLC on my host pc.
Curious if anyone has tried it, and got it to work.
Thanks

I'll Test

I'll test if I can get it working with my local and portable installations.

Edit: I totally can't even to get it to connect, but other iPhone apps will connect... weird. If I do get it to connect, I'll test it with VLC Portable.

Curious if anybody made any progress with this?
Perhaps it does not work with the PortableApps version?

I'd Try

I'd try, but I can't even get it to work with the local version. Before checking to see if it works with the portable version, you should really install VLC locally and see if the same issue arises. They we know it's not VLC Portable restricting anything.

No Web

The web interface isn't included with the portable version as it serves no purpose. If you want to be able to remotely control it, you should use the local version.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
