I am using TBP V2.0.0.19 on Windows XP Pro SP3.
My Hotmail account has been working fine for some time now. Yesterday I got a localhost timeout on my Hotmail account. I moved my USB drive to my other computer, and the same problem there. I logged into my Hotmail account on the web and noticed an email in the inbox. At the time I thought that it must have something to do with the email, so deleted it. TBP then behaved. Today I got another email and TBP had the same timeout. Deleted this too. I sent myself a simple 2 word email and the same timeout occurs.
I am using the latest Webmail V1.3.3b3 and Hotmail V1.2.20b2.
Can anyone please help?
Thanks
But very well could be that MS have tweaked their protocol to cause third party email clients some difficulties. Similar to what they do with the MSN protocol. If this is the case should only be a day or two before a fix is released.

O/K, I will wait a few days.
Just that I haven't seen anyone else complain yet.
Thanks
I used to use Outlook Express with FreePops for Hotmail.
Decided to try it now that I have problems with TBP.
I now have 3 emails in the Hotmail inbox seen on the web.
FreePops downloaded those 3 emails, but, it took about 90 seconds each. They are short emails. I decided to extend the timeout in TBP from the 60 seconds default to 180 seconds and now downloads Hotmail emails but at intervals of about 90 seconds each.
It does appear like Hotmail has done something. You were right.
Just found out that Hotmail has just implemented their Pop3 server for free Hotmail accounts:

Tried the receiving server, appears to work o/k.
So all is well again then?
