Problem With U3 Launchpad
That's the Firefox for U3 by YourBrainz that you're using, not the one from PortableApps.com. They're very different products. You can get support for it here:

No i think i explained it wrong, that's the actual load screen for the u3 launchpad not FireFox. I went to Sandisk and updated the u3 launchpad. I tried it in my friends computer, and it works just fine. He puts his in my computer and it does the same thing. Its the new spash screen.
I see what you mean. After updating the U3 Launchpad on my drive recently, I ahve a spash screen similar to what you're (not) seeing. Not sure why it wouldn't show on your end... That almost looks like it's using IE to display the image, so perhaps you should try clearing your temp files on your PC.
If it's working fine on someone elses PC, but not on yours, then we know it's not a problem on the drive itself.
Johns too nice to ask you to switch over.
His version can be downloaded here:

You might want to copy your profile onto your PC before you change over. Instructions are on the same page.

Nope still dosent work. I did Disk Cleanup so it cleared everything. Ya thats what it reminds me of is internet explorer images. Speaking of that i have internet exloper 7. BETA! Maybe thats the problem? My friend dosnt have that. We both use firefox. And dont worry John i have your version lol. I didnt like the other version because i coundt find the profile folder to copy my profile. And the autoupdate dosnt work fot some reason.
If the new splash is using something within IE... then IE7 could break it. If you've got another PC with IE7 anywhere, please test it out there, too. I can drop a bug report back to the Sandisk folks.

Im have the only computer with IE7, i was jsut testing it to see if i liked IE7 better then FireFox. FireFox still kicks but!! I can try uninstalling it maybe that will work. Just a quick question when will your Portable Thunderbird for U3 be released. The other one takes forever to load and will not update.
If you wouldn't mind... could you uninstall IE7 and see if that fixes your issue. You can reinstall again after that. Then I can let the U3 folks know of the bug in their software.
My TB for U3 is supposed to be posted now. Not sure what the holdup is.

Yep that was the problem, uninstalled internet explorer 7, restarted the computer and it works jsut fine now. I dont know if its jsut microsoft trying to get you to keep there software or what but when it was in the middle it gave me a list of software that was installed after the IE7 was installed. And it said all that software woudnt work if you finished uninstallation. This is the splash screen i was trying to explain.

Cool I like you guys versions better! :):D
MS's Windows patches are the same way. They do that to prevent you from possibly doing something stupid (uninstalling, say, a patch that a program you installed after the patch depends on). Usually it's safe to proceed. They don't say "these programs WILL stop working"--just that they may. It's not a conspiracy.

IE7 beta has been reported to be somewhat flaky (predictably ). It completely lobotomized McAfee when I installed it just to try; thankfully, I had just bought Zonealarm the week before as a replacement. Still, a typically 'Microsoftish' MS app.

This is perfectly normal for me.
At home I use a modem and so have my IE settings set to not show images so as to not slow down my browsing
When I load the Sandisk U3 drive I see the same thing you do.
At work I have a high speed connection so I have images turn on and I see the Sandisk U3 spash screen. Note that even at work I have IE set to not show animations so the splash screen does not show the animated "ticker". I tested it and if I allow animations I do see the "ticker".
This makes it pretty sure that the Sandisk U3 splash is borrowing settings from IE or that it is IE, which is intergrated into Windows after all, that is showing the splash screen.
Do you have images and/or animations turned off in IE7 but not IE6? If not than its probably just a clich in how the settings are being read. (Maybe Sandisk doesn't know about IE7 ?)
Anyway, it's nothing to worry about. Everything after the splash should work fine.
I love this update to the Sandisk LaunchPad and hope the other OEMs follow suit.

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?
I could see all the images in IE7 when i HAD it and still see them with IE6. Again it works just fine in my friends computer, and he has a slower dial up connection than me. Anyway it works jsut fine now so im not worryed about it anymore, i just got tired of seeing that blank splash screen!
