The 4.5 release of PNotes has some bugs in it that weren't in the 4.0 release, I can no longer get a working "Hide All" keyboard shortcut to work, and when I try to re-assign it to the "Win + -" that I used to use successfully, it tells me that "Win + +" is already assigned (yes it's confusing the + and - keys). I do use the Win + + for the Show All keyboard shortcut though so don't know if it's confusing with that one or what?!?! Anyhow tried to revert to the old copy and it no longer works either. So now I'm stuck having to go to the taskbar icon, right clicking and hiding all from there in a sub menu, pain in the butt.

You may need to configure the hotkeys. Right click-Preferences, Behavior tab.
Its down near the bottom.
EDIT: I've just tried configuring, and I think its a PNotes problem, but I'm not sure.
EDIT2: No, its a problem with ours . . . I'm trying to track it down. But the windows didn't work. It may be the compression.
FINAL EDIT:
It may be "bug", but it seems that PNotes doesn't accept the + key. It acts the same in both the one from lamer on sourceforge, and ours.
lamer, perhaps you would care to comment? oucil, I'm sorry that the hotkeys don't work like the old version. If you wish to use the old version, that is fine. But please be aware that you will need to re-program your hotkeys.

Thanks OliverK, I tried several times to reprogram the keys to no avail, tried fresh installs same issue.

Also meant to say I tried the beta (portable) at one point and noticed this problem so I installed 4.0 back over it and my hot keys came back fine. When I saw the final release available did the same thing hoping those bugs would be worked out, but when they weren't I tried to just to the same as before and put 4.0 back over the new 4.5 but this time the problem persisted even in 4.0.

Then its a PNotes bug. I'm hesitant to call it a bug, but if lamer doesn't respond, I'll send a email.

Why not just assign it to a different hotkey for now, then?

Hi John, I tried that as well, I really only use the "Show All", "Hide All" and "New Note" shortcuts, and the only one that seems to not work however I try it is the "Hide All" I've tried several keys and none of them worked.

..my settings were not saved in this new version. I set it up yesterday when it came out and today the skin had reverted to standard yellow and my hot keys were gone.
Change in settings. It now use relative positioning. Settings should have been backed up though. Check in Data\settings.

I just ried it with mine, using Ctrl+Shift+S for show all, Ctrl+Shft+h of hide all and Ctrl+Shft+N for new note. It works.

... just so I can try it myself, and am looking at the same thing... do you have all your notes in the General category or are you working in a subfolder?

Almost all my notes are in the same category but they are in categories.
As a side note I was able to get another copy of 4.0 and move only the data dir content to it rather than trying to install over the 4.5, and I was able to get back the functionality of the Win + + and Win + - after a little fiddling.
