Adobe Reader and Java Access Bridge

Hi all,

I have some wishes ... but don't know if they can be realised !

You already have in your directory a pdf reader (SUMATRA PDF) but unfortunately I'm completely unable to use it as my screen reader is totally incompatible with it.
As Adobe Reader is a free app I would like to know if it could be possible to make it portable.

Another wish about OpenOffice.

You also have OpenOffice among your PortableApps.
In order to use it with my screen reader I must install Java Access Bridge, a bridge application from Sun, an application needed in order to make assistive tools and Java Appls to communicate the one with the other.
Could it be possible to make this application portable too ?

Foxit

Of course, you could try Foxit Reader, however it's not open source, but I believe it's on portablefreeware.com. You'll find it's similar in functionality to Adobe Reader, but is much lighter on resources. Hopefully it will work with your screen reader.

I already tested Foxi Reader

I already tested Foxi Reader but unfortunately it is completely unaccessible to screen readers.
I even tested SumatraPdf but the result is the same ...

I think there is a slight misunderstanding here

the OP is after a screen reader, that is, a text to speech converter that can literally read aloud what is show on the screen.

The app you are suggesting is a screen capture application, which makes still images of the screen contents. Different thing entirely.

Ahhh! Microsoft already has

Ahhh! Microsoft already has that ability built into their OS. i learned about it during a Assistive Technology Seminar at the local college Assistive Technology Center for Students with disabilities.
