Won't launch

I just downloaded firefox portable and it refuses to launch or crashes before it gets a chance. As soon as I click the firefoxportable.exe link I get a portable apps popup box that looks like some kind of launch window. Then it vanishes and firefox portable never pops up. It's as if I never tried to launch it.

This is a work computer and I'm wondering if it has something on it to squash firefox. I used to have it installed here and now the firefox.exe is missing. I tried reinstalling firefox on the rig but somehow the firefox.exe is not getting installed. This prompted me to try to run it off of my USB flash drive. But obviously this seems to be getting squashed too.

Internet explorer works.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Won't launch

I am having the same issue aswell, it also happens with Thunderbird?
Both programs appear in the TaskManager after opening through portable interface and they seem to work then restart again, this goes on until i pull out the pendrive

Even when i copy the Firefox folder from portable device and onto desktop it still don't work? hell of a job trying to kill the process (Restart)

I think they work fine through XP but cant remember will try later at work.

My OS:
Vista Home Premium (Updated)

Some PCs are set to disallow firefox.exe from running. Some will auto-delete it. You can get around this by renaming the EXE and using an INI (see the readme.txt within FirefoxPortable\Other\Source). This may violate your policies at work and could put your job at risk, so you should ask first.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
