Would be nice if the icon showed some kind of indication if you're online in at least one protocol.

Talk about user-friendly!

lol sorry john

I didn't think any dev's frequented this place but good on em anyhow I've told 'em what I like and what I don't.

Now to be nice, it's the webserver that is making all these duplicate posts not me so please look into the code.

Thanks and good luck with the PA on USB.

One last question to the key dev, ie John T. Haller, is there a future for having an OS on a stick?

You

It must be at your end. Are you getting impatient and pressing "Save" multiple times? If so, that's the key.

Also, your opinions of what you like/don't like can be put in much nicer ways, so please try them.

OS on a stick is coming. There are just licensing problems with a driver for QEMU. It's being sorted out.

I am a Christian and a developer and moderator here.

Only You

It's only your posts that are duplicated five or six times and it's happened 3 times in the last several days. It's not happening to others. You should only hit the submit button ONE time and then wait. Just like any other website.

And expressing an opinion about what you like and don't isn't the same as telling people that what they're doing sucks or is worthless or a similar sentiment to what we've seen in some of your posts.

Hey John

I just want more and it's reasonable to expect I believe even if the stuff is for free.

Thats the only way to make stars out of people in devland this much I know.

Tone

Asking for something politely is fine. A detailed bug report is great. Telling someone something sucks or is useless or similar statements is counterproductive, abusive and not tolerated here. It's a big thing turns off developers and makes them want to quit working on open source.

OK my apoligies if I have caused any offence

The last thing I want is people quitting the open source movement because in most respects I find it fascinating what people can do with proprietary methods using standard interfaces, take for example Miranda (the subject of this post) how it can stop Hotmail messages, how cool is that but can the same thing be said for Alerts?

It's this kind of thing I may get boisterous about but to get change as much attention as possible must be focussed on the subject, hence the reason for multiple posts on the same thing Smile

..joking of course but I find many webserves just hate Opera as it causes them to come crashing down.

Again I am sorry if I have upset anyone just want to get the ball rolling a bit since both geek.menu and PA Menu both crash after installing any app and for this I believe the "host" cannot be blamed.
