Is there a way to add a shortcut to the PortableApps start page to a program that is not in portable format, but is on the USB Drive? I am using Dream Mail and it is on my USB drive, but it is a pain to have to "Explore" the drive to open my email program instead of being able to at least open it from PortableApps.
and the app will be recognized and displayed in the menu
more complicated: create a bat calling your mailer and convert it into an exe, put it into a folder under PortableApps folder and it will be displayed in the menu -> that is only useful if you can´t move your app folder

Thanks WK. I did what you said and at first it didn't work, so I did some further forum research and found this post https://portableapps.com/node/18302 and I found out that I needed to "Refresh App Icons" under options and then it worked!
Thanks again!!

John is right. Reading the keynotes is of importance. Sorry, that I missed the point with refreshing icons. You shouldn´t do things like editing ini or moving folders when the app or platform is running, except those that can be accomplished with options etc.

Actually, you can add and remove apps or move them around while it's running. That was an old 1.0.x bug. You just can't move a directory when there's something inside it running.
