PFF and U3 PFF

Maybe these questions have been asked before, but not recently, at least not in the most recent 15 pages of Forum posts Wink

I currently run your PFF for U3 and NoBrainz (sorry) TB for U3 on my Kingston U3 USB drive. Both work fine, but I would like to try the 'straight' PFF and PTB (i.e., instead of "for U3" versions.)

1. Should I uninstall PFF for U3 and xBrainz TB for U3 before installing PFF and PTB?

2. Will the fact that these are not "for U3" versions cause any problems, either for U3 or PFF/PTB?

3. Anything special I need to know about installing PFF and PTB on a U3 USB drive?

THanks for your help.

All U3 drives are exposed as standard USB keys except for the CD emulation partition, so you can use it just like you would a standard USB key. You don't have to uninstall the U3 versions if you don't want, since they're isolated from everything else. That's the beauty of portable apps--complete isolation from all other programs on a system.

Right You Are

Yep, you were right. Once I was sure that I liked 'plain old' PFF and PTB - I do! - I uninstalled the 'for U3' versions.

If you're up to it, you can remove the U3 crud from your drive if you don't want it, and it'll then act just like a plain ol' generic USB key. Just be aware that it's irreversible. Here's the link to the uninstaller:
