Firefox 3.1 beta 3 can be downloaded here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/download.html?product=firefox-3.1b...
I saw the link posted at http://www.neowin.net/news/software/09/03/12/firefox-31-beta-3
The main Beta page doesn't link to Beta 3 yet, but it seems that this page is live.
Just kidding. I know it's only been a few hours, but seriously, how soon can one expect a portable version? I am anxious to try this beta, but so not want to install it instead of my trusty old 3.0.7. Portable app is a perfect way to try a new version of software and not risk interference with current versions.
Thanks!

I would love this version also: using it now. It is stable to the point where I would replace my other Firefox portable with it; please can we have it as a PortableApp?
I too am waiting for this release. Love the new releases, especially tab tearing but the sensitivity of it in b2 is killing me!
I'm waiting for this release to have the password sync with the new version of the Weave extension working. (note: I think it's really important to use a master password to crypt stored passwords in Firefox on an usb stick in case it get lost or stolen)
Foxmarks will do the same.
I don't have a short attention span. I just...oh look a kitty!
Foxmarks is nice but I prefer the mozilla's way.
Weave already support history and tabs sync, and they also planning to sync cookies, form data, extensions, themes, search plugins.
you can use beta 2 portable loader with beta 3, if you can't wait, it works!
currently I am using beta 2 portable loader with beta4 nightly build, awesomeness!!!
how to do it? how to use beta 2 loader with beta 3 / 4 nightly build?
replace \FirefoxPortable\App\Firefox with the one you want.
Thanks.
I need to install it once and copy the files?
I just let firefox update itself??? Other than the fact that it want to turn off half my working extensions...
This is the list of what I have been using with Beta 2 with no known issues (so far)

Letting FirefoxPortable auto-update WILL break a locally installed version, or start leaving traces behind on whichever machine you ran the update from. This is a bug on Mozilla's end, we're trying to get them to fix it. Basically their auto-update downloads and runs a full installer, rather than just the new needed files, and because the installer runs, all the registry keys are either created or redirected to point at your portable version.
