Follow PortableApps.com on Twitter (and Identi.ca)

For anyone who enjoys twitblogging the interscape, PortableApps.com is now on Twitter. You'll get a tweet about every new app we release as well as platform releases. Plus you'll get a few behind the scenes tweets about how a new app or the platform is progressing or new site designs and features.

You'll always know what's going on with PortableApps.com.

You can find PortableApps.com on Twitter here:

UPDATE: You can find PortableApps.com on Identi.ca here:

Identi.ca?

Seeing as we're a community based around open source, what about using the open source Identi.ca microblogging service and Twitter? Identi.ca (which uses the open source Laconica software) supports sending your updates to Twitter, so you could have both updated just by updating Identi.ca.

Just a thought.

Both

I'd do both if we could have a way to have the RSS feed automatically shot into Identica, too

Drupal has a module

Drupal has a module (somewhere)to post to twitter (maybe identica too) when a new post is made, if you could set that for the release of a new app (the news story that goes with it) It might work better than RSS.

just a thought.

Lead, Follow, or get out of the way.

Have It

Will twitterfeed only allow you to post to once service? twitterfeed supports identi.ca, so they're shouldn't be an issue. If not, you could use one of the other supported services, HelloTxt or Ping.fm to have those services post to both Twitter and Identi.ca (and others too).

Yup

That was it. I added Identi.ca and our new posts will be on there, too.
