I have been using Babylon Pro for sometimes now. Does anybody know any alternatives similar to Babylon Pro? If portable will be even better.
You are here
Any opensource translator tools similar to Babylon Pro
Just to let you know, it's polite to provide a link when you request something.
I'll let you go for once

We can't do it because it's commercial, un-open-source.
Anything wrong with Babelfish?

PortaBlog is now officially out of beta!
He said "any alternatives?" He didn't request a portable Babylon; he wants to know if there are any alternatives, preferably ones that are portable.

But he should have posted a link so we knew what Babylon was.
Like I said, http://babelfish.altavista.com/ works fine.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Great for dial-up users, too (still plenty of those around).

And before anyone complains about the grammar, I'm so jetlagged that my
hands aren't even in the same time zone...
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.
Haven't found one yet, but thought I might mention a couple of FF extensions that are nice. (which of course require an internet connection) FoxLingo & gTranslate
I don't know if this would be any help to John, but I stumbled accross IniTranslator.

I am looking into all the likes and advices you have given. I do want to have something to use offline and also I want to use it cross applications, i.e. when I am typing in MS Word; when I am reading in Acrobat; or I am working in seeing something on a new software's menu, anyhow not necessarily online. Also I like the click and get definition feature. I do not want to retype or Copy and Paste again into a browser. That would be what I enjoy in Babylon (http://www/babylon.com) and what I am looking for in alternatives.
Thank you all for interested in this. Hope we together can find something.
