DebugMode Wax

DebugMode Wax is freeware application similiar to Sony VEGAS or Microsoft MovieMaker. It'd be greate to have such a sw portable...I would accept reg entry if it would run from current directory without installing, for example extracted to USB Smile

I did my own try and I cuold run the application although it shows some error screen on startup like this: "Unable to load any file handler! Corrupt installation?". All was fine but it crashes as I try to make new project...:-)))

So I guess some "regserver" routine (or what) will be neede but it is beyond my actual knowledge...it's up tu you portable-guys.

P.S.: I did search here for "DebugMode" or "Wax" but no results found...

As I said in your WinMorph thread, please only request open-source apps. With commercial software like this, we can't do it for you since redistributing it would be illegal.

Yea, right, the same goes here as for the WinMorph - if he only wants to be informed and nothing more, it is not a problem, don't you think? Smile

I think bublible meant the author of Wax :). From http://www.debugmode.com/wax/: "Distributed as freeware for business or personal use. However if you want to redistribute Wax, you need to get permission from the author."

Ah, okay. I thought he meant "he" as in "the author of this thread."

Anyway, yeah... I read that. I suspect he'd most likely turn down a request to distribute a non-verbatim copy of the program, though. I could be wrong, of course.

working...

I have been trying to make this portable too, but it can't "find" the filters folder. Maybe someone should ask the author for permission if they think releasing this would be good. He already gave permission for Portable Wink.

Nobody should start to undertake a large project. You start with a small _trivial_ project, and you should never expect it to get large. If you do, you'll just overdesign and generally think it is more important than it likely is at that stage. Or worse,

Time permitting.....

If I get some free time I will speak with Satish. I got his permission for Wink which can be found here in the Portable App Development Forum.

YEAH!

I think I just made Wax Portable. The only not so clean thing it does(but is hard coded in Wax, so I can't change it)is that it will make a folder in Program Files folder.(and delete it when done)Otherwise, it works well.(because Wax is hard coded to look there, you MUST have a drive C:) Once Permission is cleared, I can post the files.
