Pidgin: help

hi i am using portable gaim i have copied the files to a memory stick. i am using the im messenger in college and they have a firewall which blockes me and does not let me run the im software it goes until handshake and then fails is there any way round this

Sounds like

your establishment is blocking that port. What protocol (MSN, AIM, etc) are you using?

says 6891-6901. I dunno how correct this is.
