OpenOffice.org MATH!

I've installed the suite - noticed Math was on there. Did a little reading on it and decided I don't need it. Closed Open Office suite, went into MyComp and clicked on my L drive to open the files. Selected math and deleted it. It's still hanging on in the suite directory like a crack floozy to a violent pimp! How do I release this leach?

Although your link did not

Although your link did not lead to an article titled "Custom Install", I read the whole page - thank you. I seem to be at a loss here - I'm not able to find the suite products (OpenOffice.org Base, Draw, Impress, Calc, Write) as stand-alone files, and hiding the icon is no different than removing a desktop icon - program is still there. I'll live with this squatter until a newer version allows me to remove this file and all of it's contents with one click....

Thanks.

This

That link goes to the topic "Can You Pick Which Apps Are Installed?" The answer is: "Unlike, say, Microsoft Office, which is actually multiple programs that are loosely interconnected, OpenOffice.org is actually one big application with multiple functions. So, even if you were to only install Writer and Calc, it would only save you a grand total of about 9MB. And it would be one more full distribution to maintain... the largest one, that takes an hour to upload every release."

So the short answer to your question is: No, you can't.

The long answer is: You can kinda remove some files without breaking most of OpenOffice.org (you'll break certain features but may not use them and may not care) but we don't track that and we don't support installs of that nature. And they'll be put back when you upgrade.
