[SELF PROMOTION] Bookmark Base: portable bookmark manager

Hello!

I would like to pre-present you portable bookmark manager called "Bookmark Base". It's already pretty stable so don't be afraid to work with it. I hope that less than in one week it will get a public release.

Here we have two download links:
[LINKS REMOVED BY MODERATOR]

It's simple and straight: import&export bookmarks between different browsers and stay portable. The most interesting features are bookmark checker and powerful category&bookmarks editor.

I would like to get a feedback from professional portable software users: is it comfortable to use, is it fast, do you like GUI and so on. The most valuable feedback providers will be rewarded with free registration!

-------------
Best regards,
Alexander

Self-Promotion Prohibited

As is the case with nearly all public forums, and as is made clear in the forum guidelines (which were linked to on the page where you submitted this forum topic), self-promotion is prohibited. The only exception is for certified open source software and, even then, only within specfic guidelines. Your post has been modified and the links removed.

Maybe I don't get smth...

Maybe I don't get smth... but how can be post in "Beta" forum done without links?
Or any posting about software with links is considered as spam here?

Or I should write "Oh, look, what an interesting piece of software I found today!" pretending I just found it on the web?

Perhaps you've misread.

Perhaps you've misread. Your software is not OPEN SOURCE. It is not distributed under an Open License. It is not FREE. Although you offer free reg with good beta testing, it's not up to the standards of this community. Perhaps you might re-read the Forum Guidelines.

Open Source

The beta forum is so you can get testers of your Free (read: certified open source) software. The reason there is no self-promotion is that commercial companies abuse the ability to do that and you end up with a forum full of spam posts. There are many ways to promote your commercial software online including ads and word of mouth. You'll even be able to pay to advertise here in the coming weeks.

Oh, and on pretending you just found your own software.... the fee for pretending to "find" your own software and posting about it is US$10,000 as specified within the Forum Guidelines. By posting a new forum topic, each user is agreeing to be bound by these guidelines. I've added a convenient (updated on...) indicator to the posting screen as well, so you'll know when it's been changed.

OK. I admit my guilt, my "Forum Guidelines" reading was not too thorough.
I really want and like to play nice, I was not going to abuse your community and sully my fair name.
People, sorry!

John, I have a question about advertisement. I mailed contact@portableaps a day ago about that. Who's in charge of advertisement issues?

So what? That has nothing to do with self-promotion in the forums.
