DVD Decrypter is not only closed source, but Lightning UK! stopped maintaining and distributing it because of legal threats from Macrovision. There's absolutely no chance of it becoming an official app here, but maybe someone will do a launcher. Maybe.

Here, all you're going to get is a launcher, if someone decides to make one.
I was looking for portable apps on a certain file sharing tracker site just to see what's out there (just search for "portable") and found DVD Shrink and ImgBurn in one convenient package.
I didn't think I'd actually be downloading anything since I'm not interested in portable versions of pirated software, but both of those are freeware programs, so I went with it. I ran my virus scanner and it said they were clean, so I'm using them.
DVD Shrink is abandonware, hasn't been updated in years, but still works. The included ImgBurn is a few versions old (2.3.0.0) but it still does everything the current version does, minus the mode picker.
Not too familiar with DVD Decrypter, sorry.
updated to 2.4.4.0 recently, (Apr. 10th if I'm not mistaken.) I just updated my version. FYI.
ImgBurn is the continuation of DVD Decrypter without the ability to decrypt DVDs.

There is a DVDShrink Portable launcher here - https://portableapps.com/node/11971 - I recommend you try searching before making requests in the future. You can request a launcher for DVD Decryptor though I recommend requesting one for DVDFab Decryptor. It's the freeware component of DVDFab and is much more up to date![Smile](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/smile.gif)
Enjoy![Smile](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/smile.gif)
PS. If you do request DVDFab Decryptor please read the request app form guidelines so as to put your request in the correct format increasing its chances of being taken up![Smile](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/smile.gif)

That's awesome. While my current, dodgy-acquired DVD Shrink works great, I'd have a bit more confidence in it if I could say I trusted the source, so I'll do that when I get home.
Updates to ImgBurn won't really be all that important to me until they add the ability to make music CDs. For now, I'm using CD-R Tools Frontend, which is pretty nice, but I'd rather just use one app for burning.
If you have an app that just works, updates are much less important (see DVD Shrink) than something like Firefox which you need to stay on top of for security purposes.
ImgBurn has been able to support burning audio CDs for some time now (2.4.0.0+,).

You can also make it portable by creating the ImgBurn.INI in the installation directory, and adding PortableMode=1 to the top of it.

Limits are for people with no imagination.
For DVD's that can't be decrypted by DVDShrink I recommend DVDFab Decryptor which can be found here - http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm
This will decrypt the Latest DVDs and copy to your computer. Then you use DVDShrink Portable to Compress the video to fit onto a regular 4.7 GB DVD. Would be even better however if someone could build a launcher for DVDFab Decryptor.
I saw in a post recently you were looking into doing some work in making portableapps. Might be a good project for you as you'll have the motivation of what to use the software peronally![Smile](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/smile.gif)

Alright, I'll try it. Can't hurt to try, eh? I got all the tools from the guerrilla field guide sticky (which needs one more "R" in guerrilla fyi). Let's see how hard this is.
