Ghostzilla

I personally use the portable apps @ work, where I don't need to leave any trace to firm's computer.

I believe that an application such as ghostzilla should be included in the applications. Ghostzilla has a portable version of its own so I guess it would be easier to create Ghostzilla portable.

Thanks!

Dead Project

Ghostzilla is a dead project and is based on an older version of the Mozilla rendering engine with known security issues. It should not be used any longer. It leaves the exact same traces as Firefox Portable or any other browser (ie, they can tell you ran it from the PC but not what you did with it). Ghostzilla was designed so you could hide your browser window so people wouldn't see that you were goofing off.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Actually as I understand it they can only tell what apps you've ran via MUICache (which I clear manually).

However it's always been my understanding that corporate IT logs what you look at, so even though they don't see you having used the browser on the local computer, they see what pages you've accessed. ISPs can do this as well - one in my home town (sonic.net) had an office downtown, and in their window they had a monitor displaying this log in real time, you could see what people were looking at. Sounds like a big privacy issue, not sure why nobody said anything.

Long story short I always thought work/school could tell exactly what you've done online. Part of why I'm so cautious. Wink

There's also

There's also a plugin for Firefox to make it act like Ghostzilla called Ghostfox (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=ghostzilla&cat=all) if you still want the functionality.

ok

Thank you both for your posts, I will check ghostfox although it is still experimental.

Thanks anyway!
