How do I remove items from the portableapps menu?

The portableapps menu picks up all the exe files from my applications folders and lists them on the menu. However, I have some folders containing several exe files and I don't want all of them listed. So a particular folder may have files:
main.exe, helper1.exe, helper2.exe
where main is the name of my application and helper1 ... are subsidiary exe files which need to be retained in the folder but I don't want them listed on the menu. How do I remove some (eg helper1.exe, helper2.exe) from the menu while retaining the corresponding exe files in my folders?

Me too!

Must have my dumb hat on! I followed the link and it appears to me that the only way is to get rid of the executables out of the app menu is to delete them or put them into a sub-folder!

I have non-portable apps installed and it is conceivable to me that if I move the apps out of an app folder that they would potentially not work as they are generally called sub-applications!

Is this right or wrong?

Its wrong

It used to be like that but if you have the latest version of the platform, simply right-klick on it and put a minus-sign "-" into the window that appears.

Or

If you have the 1.6 pre-release, you can right-click the item and hit "Hide From Menu". Smile

In 1.6, when right clicking a app, there is a option "Show hidden icons" (or something similiar to that), use that. When doing it by using the dash method in a pre-1.6 version, you have to do some manual editing, see https://portableapps.com/support/portable_apps_suite#hidingicons for more information.
