I created a portable firefox with some bookmarks..
but when I installed a new windows all the bookmarks disappeared and I had to setup it again..
is there anyway to create a portable firefox which can save the data, history, bookmarks, etc? I have Portable Google chrome that works perfectly..

Why don't you just use Firefox Portable? I think you'll find pretty much all your problems to be gone.

So I think that webmoly means she simply created portable firefox for personal use. I don't think that the original version of firefox says "firefoxportable.exe"

Well, I wanted to create my own portable application.. i wanted to personalize the setting, bookmarks and then make it portable..
As I said, when windows is changed the setting and bookmarks will be reset.. I want to have in on usb so i can use it in any computer..
so..?
Download and use Firefox Portable. You can still make all your customizations the same as you would with regular Firefox. There are only a few known FF addons that aren't portable so your best of using the package here as your assured of its initial portability then as you make your tweaks you can test to see if it maintains portability.

the question is how I can create a portable application.. firefox is just the one.. I got a bunch of application which is written by individual programmer which I need to make the portable.. they're not a popular application so.. I need to learn how to make it..

you should just get a fish and not worry about how to fish like most of the world (if you know what I mean).
It will save you a lot of time and trouble.
no.. it doesn't work all the time, especially when it comes to special applications which is not available in all countries.. which means you can't even find it in the net..
so any idea how to make that happen?
What programs do you want to put on firefox?

What program are you using to create your version of firefox portable? Thinapp? Or are you simply keeping the folder "Mozilla Firefox" on your drive?
I used portable app creator which I download from here, I guess the last version..
I followed up the rules and finally I just copied the folder in my flash disk.
there is only one thing.. when I tried to use that in another PC the portable .exe file didn't work.. so I had to execute the original .exe file because the portable .exe file says that it can't locate the folder of application which was installed at first....
so?
