I have just upgraded to V3.0.10 from V3.0.4 on Windows XP Pro SP3.
I don't notice any difference between the versions so far. The reason I upgraded was due to this CPU hogging by Firefox. This happens only on certain websites. Here is an example of a website that does this:

Must admit that IE V6 does the same so I don't know if anything can be done, but it's frustrating.
Does any one know why this happens?

Tried that site on my (terrible) PC at work:
P4 2.8 GHz, 256 MB RAM, Win XP Pro SP3
Firefox Portable 3.0.10: Peak CPU Usage at 14%, before going back down
IE 6: CPU Usage jumped to 21% and stayed there

I have 2 computers and both behave the same. By the way, the offending website has to be in the active tab to hog the CPU, otherwise, the usage is normal.
This CPU hogging only happens when the flash ad on that site is visible (I had to go to FAQ subpage to see the problem). When I scrolled down and the ad was outside my screen, the CPU usage immediately went down to normal. Scrolled up and it jumped up again to 100%. It looks like the advertising is the culprit, causing FF flash player to "overheat".
Yeah, Flash can do that. Make sure you have the most recent version. If it's an issue more often, you can install the FlashBlock extension and then Flash objects only start when you click the play button on them.

I remember having problems installing Flash. Could you please point me to the installation procedure and the latest flash player?

Thanks for the link. The Extension installation option on that page fails, says that some script is missing. The Easy To Use Flash Installer link at https://portableapps.com/node/1550 installed ok. I specified the current portable location, but I must admit though, I can't find out where it was installed.
Unfortunately, the flash content still hogs the CPU as before.
