I have installed portable Firefox on a U3 drive and copied myprofile from my hard drive as directed. The files appear in the folder but the settings do not apply with restart. Any help?

You used the launcher, right?

They are two different programs. If Firefox Portable, be sure you're copying it to the correct profile directory FirefoxPortable\Data\profile
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Hopefully you did not copy the profile when FFP was running. I think that would maybe corrupt your profile.

It shouldn't corrupt the profile, but for it to take effect, Fx has to be closed.
