Toucan 2.1.0 Help Manual under Help Tab is missing

Toucan 2.1.0: Clicking on "Help" tab yields a blank screen under all three tabs "Content," "Index," and "Search." Help Manual is missing or not linked to program.

Running under Win2K, SP4 (though this shouldn't matter).

The "Help.html" brings up a copy of the Toucan Support webpage, which says to click on the "Help" tab - which, again is blank.

Any suggestions?? Thanks.

Hi,

if you browse to the directory where Toucan is installed, then look under App\toucan can you see a file called Toucan.htb? This is the help file itself. If it is not there then I would recommend re-downloading as it should be!

Help file present, Help Tab still blank

Hi Steve - Thanks for the follow up on this.

The file list in my directory (bird cage for my Toucan!) is
C:\#Library\PortApp-FileBackup-Toucan\App\Toucan
does contain TOUCAN.HTB , but still nothing appears under the help tab.

I am running the program found here:
C:\#Library\PortApp-FileBackup-Toucan\TOUCAN.EXE

Am I executing the correct EXE file?
There are two TOUCAN.EXE files, one 77kb and the other 1.23mb.

Your suggestions are most welcome, thank you!

change path

Try switching it to a path without the # in it. It's best to stick with X:\PortableApps\ for your apps. The installers find it automatically.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

The

smaller file simply executes the large one, it shouldn't matter which one you run. As John says this is likely to be caused by the # in your path, the language that Toucan is programmed in uses it when dealing with zip files, which is basically what the helpfile is.
