Hi all
It is not a big deal, but just to let you know that my new Toucan status bar indicates that the job is done much before the end (i.e. after the status bar reaches its end, Toucan continues to copy files).
Cheers

what were you running, Sync, Backup or Secure? Also were you doing lot of files?
Hi
It's when I do a mirror copy during a sync
is this any better in the latest pre-release? I did make a number of improvements to the way the number of files is calculated.
Hi Steve,
I'm using v2.1.2 and also noticed it yesterday using mirror sync.
It probably has to do with the log only telling you what Toucan has done and nothing w to indicate what it is currently doing.
Can I suggest that you add another status bar in addition to the overall status to show the progress on the individual task at hand? This way you'll be able to see that toucan is still trying to copy the last file.
This would help with another problem I have which is, when canceling a mirror job Toucan just seem to ignore you. I'm assuming because it is trying to finish the file copy that it is busy with and if it is a big file 500MB over wireless, this can take up to 15min.
I would prefer that Toucan gives me the option to quit immediately (with a warning to state that the destination would be left in an inconsistent state), finish the copy of the current file and then quit or simply ignore my request all together.
Without the second/individual file copy status bar you won;t be able to make an informed decision regarding this question.
These enhancements would be very useful to me and I hope other too.
Thanks
Paul
see what I can do, about a forced abort would be useful,I shall have a look at the second progress bar, it might be easier to add it to the log window itself i.e.
Copying yourfile (156MB / 196MB)
Thanks for the suggestion
Hi Steve,
Yes, that (with perhaps a time lapse) would be good enough, just to you can see what Toucan is doing at the moment. It's only really a problem with large files, for example doing a mirror of a virtual machine.
Regards
Paul
