I tried the latest Portable Apps Updater and I'm really confused on how I should use it and how it works.
I have my portable apps in a c:\ drive called "portableapps\
Do I need to install the Portable Apps Updater in the same directory or can it be in a different directory?
And when I execute it, it asks to install Portable Apps 0.90 or something, which when I select a single application, it goes through some processes and says it's been installed. But I can't tell what exactly has been installed and what was updated.
As of right now I much prefer the manual process to update, because I keep an archive of different .paf.exe files, and then extract it to update my portable apps when I want to. Even though it's manual I have control, which is very important to me.
If anyone can explain in dummy's terms of how this updater apps works I'd appreciate it!
You'd install it to C:\PortableApps like all your other portable apps right now. Ignore some of the language as it hasn't been polished (that's why it's a beta).
A new version is coming out shortly.
