tmp file in homedir not deleted

Hello,

I installed OpenOffice Portable on a networkshare, so it could be used by all our students. I directed all the path to the homedir H: I start OpenOffice-->Writer and on exit from writer a get an error. I found there is created a tmp dir in the homedir which is read-only and isn't deleted on exit. What am I doing wrong? How to solve this problem. Our student are common-users and have full access/control to there home-dir.

Not Designed For That

Portable apps are not designed to be installed to a networkshare and then shared by users. They are designed for a single user. They could be used from a networkshare mapped to a drive letter, but only by one user at a time. Anything else and you will have problems.

If you want to share it, install normal OpenOffice.org to a network share and run it normally. It'll save to APPDATA for each user.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

I am an administrator and when I use OpenOffice the tmp dir is deleted. I try to redirect it to teh local temp enviroment.
