As the new version includes some Win7 bug fixes, does that mean we still need to use this?
I know it's marked as fixed over at NSIS but I was just wondering what the word was here.

I know for one thing I'm updating nsis portable with it and the release notes do say it has a fix for it.

My guess is no, you probably don't need to. They may have even used John's patch to fix the Windows 7 issues, but I have no idea (although if he submitted the patch, it would make sense...).
Quamquam omniam nescio, nec nihil scio.
Yeah, that's what I thought too but I was wondering if John could confirm.
Uggh..
Please...
I'm tired of this non-support for EclipseNSIS with JOHN'S FIX!!!
NSIS 2.45 does include Windows 7 support, meaning that the PortableApps.com patch is no longer necessary.
(I got that confirmed by John in IRC yesterday)

Thanks, that's what I wanted to know.
Yeah...
But is it using John's patch? Or it's own code?
It's basically a patch I submitted in the bug fix. So from 2.45 on, NSIS works on Windows 7. Firefox Portable 3.0.11 is using it for the launcher now. And the current PA.c Installer includes and is compiled with NSIS 2.45 (no additional patches necessary).
